Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated June 4, 2026

AfterShow gives you tools to reach the audience you have earned: email and text broadcasts, a public shop card, and analytics. With that reach comes responsibility. This policy describes how those messaging tools may and may not be used. It applies to every message you send through AfterShow, and it is in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

You agree to this policy before sending your first broadcast. Violating it can result in your messages being blocked, your account being suspended, and, for serious or repeated violations, removal from the platform.

1. Send only to people who agreed to hear from you

Every recipient of an AfterShow broadcast must have opted in to receive messages from your shop. For text messages this is a legal requirement, not just a courtesy.

2. Prohibited content

You may not send any message through AfterShow that contains:

Message text and uploaded images are screened automatically before sending. Content that violates this policy will be blocked. Repeatedly attempting to send prohibited content may result in suspension.

3. Be honest and identifiable

4. Don't overwhelm your audience

AfterShow limits most accounts to one broadcast every 24 hours. Don't attempt to evade this limit, and don't use AfterShow to send unsolicited bulk messages ("spam"). Frequency that drives recipients to unsubscribe or complain harms both you and every other shop that sends through AfterShow.

5. Don't abuse the platform

6. Enforcement

AfterShow may block individual messages, pause sending, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice depending on the severity. We may also be required to cooperate with carriers, email providers, and law enforcement. Compliance with this policy protects your own sending reputation as much as the platform's.

7. Questions

If you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask first: [email protected].
